The weekly magazine SØNDAG is for fun-loving women, i.e. active, outgoing middle-aged women. The editorial strategy reflects this by giving high priority to topics such as fashion, beauty and interior design. SØNDAG’s readers give high priority to the luxurious offerings of daily life; they are major consumers of all cultural options, which is why SØNDAG contains a proportionately greater amount of reading material than all other weeklies relating to exotic new travel destinations, new books, new films and new plays.

søndag.dk is a source of inspiration for personal development, beauty, career, exercise and diet. It also provides articles relating to travel, famous women and lots of recipes.

TARGET GROUP

The SØNDAG and søndag.dk target group comprises women aged 40–60 and above. SØNDAG’s readers are highly educated, affluent women. They have a high disposable income. They can afford brand-name clothing, cosmetics, specially-designed trips, design-led furniture and a new kitchen – in brief, they are ready to buy luxury products for themselves.

EVENTS

As the name implies, “SØNDAG – Forkæl dig selv” is an event tailor-made to pamper SØNDAG’s readers. Readers are inspired and pampered and, not least, have an opportunity to relax with their friends. The participants are divided into groups of 30–40 women each, and they take part in themed workshops on skincare, hair, make-up, fashion, jewellery, interior design and food, all of which are conducted by our business partners.

SØNDAG and Ballroom Fitness extract and combine the best of both dancing and exercise. Instructors Elisabeth Dalsgaard, Thomas Evers and Anne Mette Rasmussen join forces with SØNDAG to invite participants to an entertaining day.

The event “HRH Prince Henrik’s Cup” starts with a preliminary nationwide bridge tournament and concludes with the bridge championship finals, held at Aller’s headquarters.
